The Finnish Prosecution service has 581 personnel, 381 of which are prosecutors.

The prosecution service consists of 15 local prosecution offices. Within the authority of the local prosecution offices there are also 50 service bureaus which are functioning as subsidiary offices.

The Office of the Prosecutor General maintains the operational conditions of the entire prosecution service as a regular central administration agency, and functions as the staff of the Prosecutor General.
